High efficiency
High efficiency of the solution, one vehicle is as good as 10 foot patrols (two inspectors each).

As we know, just implementing time limits without proper enforcement will not work.
Drivers may simply move their cars every few hours to avoid ticketing.
To address this issue a combined approach of charging parking fees combined with limits on lengths of stay
- and proper enforcement – ensures, that there are always some parking spots available thanks to enforced rotation.
This will make the location more appealing to customers as they know that they will find a parking spot. Combined with other digital technologies this approach will avoid a lot of search traffic and therefor it is a step closer to carbon neutrality.
Parking period restrictions and strict enforcement can also boost parking turnover, allowing more cars to use the same number of spaces.

2. Position verification
CITYSCANNER® system measures cars positioning using precision sensors and GPS position.
The GPS module determines the exact position of the vehicle and it is used to synchronize the time of the main system computer with the GPS time. In turn, the LIDAR module determines the distance of objects from the vehicle. The position of the vehicle with the license plate is given within centimeters accuracy. This allows the system to accurately determine if the vehicle was located within the paid parking space and allows full automation.
The process of double scan ensures extensive automation of the downstream administrative processes.
By fulfilling the two conditions that the vehicle
- hasn't moved for N minutes == it was parked there
- was parked in a defined parking zone
only relevant indicators are processed!
3. Anonymisation
CITYSCANNER® system anonymizes all the sensitive data
“on the edge” on board the vehicle before saving it to the database. No sensitive data is transferred.
